The building at Schottenring 19 was designed by Rudolf Neumayr in 1878 as part of an ensemble of three buildings between Schottenring, Börsegasse and Maria-Theresien-Straße. The Fruit and Flour Exchange was once to be located here, but shortly afterwards it moved to Taborstraße in what is now the Odeon Theater. The magnificent Ringstrasse building was then used as an office and residential building and was completely renovated in 2014. The façade was restored in 2024. These Gründerzeit buildings are very intelligently structured: with an outer wall, a load-bearing middle wall and a courtyard wall. This resulted in a room width of an extraordinary 6.5 meters. This made it easy to vary between large areas, more enclosed zones and a small-scale structure of corridors and many small offices.

As part of the general refurbishment, the entire building technology was renewed and the heating system was connected to the district heating and cooling network.
