The sale was carried out by ÖRAG in 2013 as part of a two-stage bidding process, whereby the properties could be acquired either as an asset deal or as a share deal. The properties are predominantly Wilhelminian-style buildings.

The Haid Center in Linz originally opened in 1991 and was completely renovated and repositioned as a shopping center in 2001. In 2006, it was given its current name "Haid Center".
